Fruit Salad with Ice Cream Topping

Fruit Salad with Ice Cream Topping Recipe tops vanilla ice cream with pear, melon, orange, pineapple and grapes then drizzles with orange juice before garnishing with orange rind or coconut.

INGREDIENTS
|
4 pears, cored
|
1 large melon wedge
|
1 can Mandarin orange wedges
|
1/2 can pineapple
|
Green grapes (optional
|
2 pints vanilla ice cream
|
1 cup fresh orange juice
|
Orange rind
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Cut the pears and melon wedge in pieces and mix with the canned fruits.

2:
Pour in a little of the syrup from the cans. Cover and let salad stand in refrigerator until chilled.
|

3:
Divide the ice cream into 8 dishes. Distribute fruit on top of ice cream.
|
|
4:
Just before serving, pour on the fresh orange juice. Sprinkle with finely slivered orange rind or coconut.
