Squash Casserole Recipe

Squash Casserole Recipe is loaded with huge squash taste using yellow squash, onion, salt, pepper, pimiento pepper, almonds and cream of chicken soup in creating this delicious squash casserole recipe.

INGREDIENTS
|
2 lbs. yellow squash
|
1 small onion
|
salt, to taste
|
pepper, to taste
|
3/4 cup water
|
1/2 (3-ounce) jar pimiento pepper (or to taste)
|
1/2 cup slivered almonds, optional
|
1 (10 3/4oz) can cream of chicken soup
|
Town House® Light and Buttery Original crackers
|
Enough melted butter to toss crackers
|

DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Dice squash in larges pieces and onion in small pieces. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Put squash and onions on to cook in heavy boiler with 3/4 cup of water over medium heat until just tender. Drain.

Butter a casserole dish, and layer squash, pimiento pepper, almonds, and 1/2 of cream of chicken soup. Repeat with another layer. Crumble enough crackers coated with melted butter just to cover top of casserole.

Place in 300° F oven for about 30 minutes or until bubbly.
