Hungarian Bell Pepper Pepperdish

Hungarian Bell Pepper Pepperdish Recipe stuffs bell peppers with a mixture of ground pork or beef, onion, tomatoes, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika and cooked rice, tops with grated cheese then bakes to create a delicious stuffed bell pepper dish.

INGREDIENTS
|
4 large red or green pepper
|
1 pound ground pork or beef
|
1 onion, chopped
|
3/4 cup tomatoes
|
1 clove garlic, chopped
|
1 teaspoon salt
|
1/2 teaspoon pepper
|
1 teaspoon paprika
|
3/4 cup cooked, cold rice
|
4 tablespoons grated cheese
|
1 1/4 cups water
|

DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Clean peppers and cut off tops. Remove seeds and
veins. Place in an ovenproof dish.

Mix meat, onions, tomatoes and seasonings. Mix in rice and fill peppers with mixture. Sprinkle with cheese.

Pour water in bottom of dish so peppers don't burn on the bottom. Bake in a 350°F oven about 30 minutes till peppers are soft. Serve warm with cold sour cream.
