Pear and Blueberry Pie Filling Recipe

Pear and Blueberry Pie Filling Recipe uses pears, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, butter and blueberries to create this very tasty and delicious pie filling recipe


INGREDIENTS
3 D'Anjous pears, peeled, cored and sliced
3 Tbl. Balsamic vinegar
4 Tbl. sugar
Pinch of grated nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon, ground
2 Tbl. unsalted butter
1 cup blueberries
1 tsp. flour


DIRECTIONS
1: Place sliced pears into large skillet over medium heat and toss for 2 minutes.
 
2: Add Balsamic vinegar to skillet and stir/toss to coast all slices of pear with vinegar. Stir occasionally while cooking to reduce liquid by about one-half.
 
3: Add sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon to skillet and stir well. Add butter and stir until butter has melted. Add blueberries and stir to combine.
 
4: Add 1 teaspoonful of flour and stir well. Continue to cook until filling has thickened. Remove from heat.
